While pastoral care is done at the parish level, Canon Lisa serves the Diocese as a whole and is available when the parish system , or relationships within the system, need support. Lisa's experience and skill in communication, conflict resolution and reflective practice can help the Diocese fully live into our respectful conduct policy. Clergy and wardens are encouraged to reach out to Canon Lisa if they are in need of support and or the Bishop may sometimes suggest that Canon Lisa could be of assistance.
Examples of how Canon Lisa has served so far:
-led parish workshops on communication skills and conflict resolution
-met individually with clergy to discuss parish dynamics and conflicts
-mediated minor conflicts in parishes
-met with parish members one on one to clarify issues and do preventative conflict management
-provides a listening presence to priests, wardens, and parish members who are concerned about situations and not sure how to proceed

We are grateful that Lisa serves in this role on a pro bono basis.
