The rezoning application has been advanced by the City of Victoria Committee of the Whole on May 28th. We are working to implement a few changes and provide necessary updates before the official bylaw readings can be addopted.
The District of Saanich and the Green Municipal Fund of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities have donated grants for us to continue doing pre-development work on a project that meets our needs and the needs of the community.
The Parish of St. Dunstan and the Two Saints ministry now worships as St. Peter's Saanich. Management and Diocesan Council is still working with potential buyers for the property at San Juan Avenue.
A collaboration with Duncan Housing Society and BC Housing to build affordable rental housing for seniors and those living with disabilities has been approved. Demolition and construction of the project has begun. Construction is anticipated to take 24 months.
Collaboration with Aboriginal Coalition to End Homelessness and BC Housing to build a 32-unit Wellness House with cultural and wrap-around medical support. An agreement to sell a portion of the parking lot bas been signed and the plans are being finalized with construction anticipated in 2026.
