Herbert O’Driscoll’s long-awaited new volume of autobiographical reminiscences brings together almost a hundred short memory pieces, ranging widely over his life and career, including his youth in Ireland, his student days at Trinity College Dublin, his four-decade ministry in Canada, his extensive experiences in the United States, and his later years of pilgrimage in Holy and Celtic Lands.

Herbert O’Driscoll is a highly regarded preacher and retreat leader, the prolific author of over fifty books and many hymns.  Much of his work reflects his own Celtic spirituality.  He served several parishes in and around Ottawa, was Dean of Christ Church Cathedral in Vancouver, Warden of the College of Preachers in Washington, DC, and Rector of the Anglican Parish of Christ Church, Elbow Park, in Calgary. Since 1993, Victoria has been his home base for an active “retirement” of writing, guest speaking, and leading pilgrimages.

The author will read excerpts from his new book, and be interviewed by Ian Alexander about his life and work.  There will also be an opportunity for questions from the online audience. Register now by calling Christ Church Cathedral at 250-383-2714 or dropping a line to: frontdesk@christchurchcathedral.bc.ca You’ll receive a Zoom link by email shortly before the event.

Space is limited, so register today! The retail price of I Will Arise and Go Now is $26.99 (plus shipping and handling, where applicable). Buy your copy now at Munro’s Books, or order it online.
