Many people who attend Anglican churches throughout the diocese have family members buried in St. Luke’s cemetery as do others in the community. We held a Cemetery Open House, Cleanup Morning, and Tour last month on Saturday, May 25th. However, because of the predicted rain, many people didn’t come. Sure enough, the skies opened and we were drenched! Our thanks to those who did come out to help with the cleanup and go on the tour.

Since so many people either were unable to attend or didn’t attend because of the weather, we decided to offer the combination of cemetery tour, community cleanup and open house again. This time it will be on Saturday, June 22nd from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm and will include a short tour starting at 10 am. Pam Gaudio will lead the tour and will provide information about the history of the cemetery and stories of some of the interesting people buried there. As well the church will be open and visitors are welcome to do a self-guided tour of the church. Tea, coffee, and light refreshments will be served in the church.

Come and see what’s new in the cemetery, help with the cleanup, or go on the Cemetery Tour starting at 10 am. Come if you have family members buried at St. Luke's. Come if you don't have connections to this cemetery to see what a hidden gem it is.

More information is posted on the events page of St. Luke's website.
