The Primate's World Relief and Development Fund (PWRDF) relies on a network of dedicated volunteers across Canada who are at the heart of its engagement with individuals and parishes. They help keep the work of PWRDF partners in Canada and around the world in the hearts, minds and prayers of Anglicans across the country by:

  • Providing awareness and education on current issues and PWRDF’s response to emergencies and the need for longer term sustainable development work
  • Supporting and encouraging parish PWRDF representatives
  • Promoting PWRDF projects with fundraising activities within the diocese and in parishes.
  • Helping to illustrate the connection between funds donated to PWRDF and the change that results in communities around the world

This is very important work for PWRDF and for our diocese.

Traditionally, coordinating these efforts has fallen to one person, the diocesan PWRDF representative. We think our diocese will be better served by a team of volunteers as its size and complexity make it almost impossible for one person to manage.

Further, we would like to ensure that this team (up to five members) is supported by a PWRDF representative in every parish. You may already be working in that capacity, but we know that not every parish has a representative. We are therefore inviting interested people to join at this online event to learn more about PWRDF and how we are looking to build up this important ministry in the life of our diocese.

We hope you'll join us!
