Why Walk?

People travel all over the world to go on pilgrimage - a spiritual journey to a sacred site. Why travel long distance to do this? Why not be pilgrims here on this beautiful land of islands and inlets?

Come join us as we walk the way of thanksgiving and reconciliation; let your footsteps find the rhythm of the earth. This is time for reconnection - to yourself, to creation and to the others walking with you.

The church is on the move. We are ready to walk our talk. Come listen to the Holy Spirit calling. Come join the inaugural Cowichan Camino.

The journey begins at St. John the Baptist Anglican Church in Duncan on Saturday, October 7 at noon. From there, pilgrims will walk the Cowichan Trail (part of the Trans Canada Trail) to Lake Cowichan and stay overnight there; ready to attend Sunday service in the morning.
